With Online Visits, Presbyterian Medical Group providers diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications, when necessary.
With Online Visits you will answer multiple choice questions using an online medical interview form about how you (or your child) are feeling and your symptoms. The form takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and does not require video or audio. You can access and complete the form anytime, 24 hours a day. A Presbyterian Medical Group provider will review your answers and email you a diagnosis and care instructions during the times listed above. If a prescription is provided, you can pick it up at the pharmacy of your choice.
If your condition is determined to be more serious than can be treated through Online Visits, you will be contacted to have a video call with the provider, or you may be asked to schedule an in-office visit. The patient (and parent or legal guardian for a pediatric patient) will need to be physically in New Mexico at the time of using Online Visits. Online Visits uses a limited list of medications when a prescription is necessary. Providers cannot prescribe outside of the list. Controlled medications, such as narcotics, will not be prescribed.
